What Detection actually tells you

The official description names two classes of detectable targets: metal objects and cloaked Aniimo nearby. It does not promise a complete treasure scan, a quest-object search or an exact radius. Use that narrow description to decide whether Helmut fits the question you are trying to answer during exploration.

A useful field exercise is to inspect a small area normally, activate the relevant ability, then record what becomes visible. Separate an object highlighted by Detection from an object you merely noticed at the same time. This makes your own notes useful without turning an untested assumption into a universal map mechanic.

Do not infer a biome from the form name

Basic Form and Mountain Woods Form list dark; Snowfield Form adds ice. Nevertheless, all three checked records name Russet Highlands as a habitat. The form label does not override the explicit habitat field. Start from the Helmut form records when planning a collection target.

The three records contain the same Detection description. Nothing in that field establishes a greater scan range or extra target category for Snowfield Form. If you compare them in play, record the exact form and conditions instead of attributing every apparent difference to the second element.

A secondary combat question

Defense Mode describes reduced incoming damage and a retaliatory shock wave when hit. Guardbreak Slam and Guardbreak Smash describe consecutive attacks with a stun on the third. Their similar text is worth noticing, but it is not evidence of an undocumented combo that chains both entries together.

For an exploration outing, ask whether you need this defensive and control behavior alongside Detection. Do not rank Helmut against every BREAK candidate from the role label. Enemy susceptibility, action timing and actual damage have not been measured by this reference.

One trait remains unresolved

Guardbreak Resonance currently displays a zero increase in BREAK. The live official page and saved snapshot agree on that unusual value. We preserve it as a source anomaly rather than guessing the intended percentage. Detection's clear wording remains usable, but a build calculation should not silently replace the trait with a community estimate.
