Match the symptom before reinstalling: 94% can mean resource verification, extraction failures call for a space/blocking check, and the launcher offers Settings → Quick Repair for damaged or incomplete files.

Establish a supported installation
Use the current official launcher: the September 14 FAQ says test clients must be replaced. Reserve 40 GB on the installation drive, with an SSD recommended. The client defaults to the launcher’s directory, so check that drive rather than the computer’s combined free space.
The FAQ requires 64-bit Windows 10 or later and excludes Windows 7, Windows 8 and 32-bit systems. If Windows reports an incompatible file version, check that requirement before treating it as a game-file problem. See PC requirements for the remaining hardware rows.

Follow the branch that matches the error
The following actions summarize the official launcher FAQ. A motionless download counter can reflect local file processing; repeatedly closing the updater can make it process previously downloaded files again.
| Situation | Next action |
|---|---|
| Stuck at 94% | Allow resource verification to finish; the FAQ also suggests restarting the launcher. |
| Verification error or black screen after update | Close the client, then launcher Settings → Quick Repair; restart the launcher. |
| Game in another folder or external drive | Launcher Settings → Choose another folder; locate the installed game. |
| Extraction failed or insufficient space | Check the target drive’s free space, then inspect whether security software blocked a game file. |
| Network error or timeout | Check the connection, DNS and proxy settings. |
| Login error with a non-English installation path | Use an all-English path and update the directory in launcher settings. |

Check blocked files before changing protection settings
The FAQ associates a Failed to load il2cpp message with files quarantined or blocked by antivirus software. Inspect its protection history to identify the actual affected file and confirm the installation came from the official download. Atlas recommends a file-specific review rather than turning off protection as a routine first step.
For a persistent extraction error after checking space, the official instructions suggest restarting Windows and running Quick Repair because a scan may still hold files. If repair cannot resolve a verification failure, reinstalling the launcher is a later official step. Keep the error text before changing anything.

Recognize a different class of problem
A white screen before the logo is a separate FAQ case with a Microsoft DirectX download reference. A launcher larger than the screen is a display-scaling case; the FAQ gives 125% as its 1080p upper example. Do not use these remedies interchangeably with network or account failures.
If nothing happens when opening the launcher, the FAQ suggests checking administrator permissions and, for the verified official program, running it as administrator. Persistent failure should go to official support. Include Windows version, client source, install path, free space, exact error and attempted repair. Hardware instability requires its own diagnosis; this checklist does not establish the cause of every crash.

Common questions
Should I restart whenever download speed is zero?
Not immediately. The updater may be processing local files; the FAQ distinguishes that state from a stalled download.
Where is Quick Repair?
In the launcher’s Settings panel, accessed from the top right.
