How to unlock Irisalis: Iris Petals, crafting and Rift Space

Use the newer Iris Petals route

The September 23 update notice adds a weekly Iris Petal source for Student I players. Craft Legendary Aniipod: Irisalis to access Rift Space; befriending Irisalis unlocks Transmog. The separate Windchaser’s Departure pod becomes craftable afterward. Read the current recipe; the notice does not give a petal count.

Locate your current stage

The September 3 letter provides the older progression outline. Use the more specific September 23 Iris Petals instructions above when matching current crafting and quest screens; the older generic token wording is retained here as context.

The checklist below turns the announcement into questions you can answer from your own quest and crafting screens. Complete the current stage before searching for a later-stage objective. If you have not crafted the required pod, repeatedly scanning the map for the final encounter may be premature.

Diagnose a missing objective

If crafting is unavailable, record the recipe or prerequisite that the interface actually shows. Separate a missing ingredient from a locked recipe. Those problems require different next steps: finding resources is not the same as advancing the story that exposes a crafting option.

If the pod is crafted but the encounter is not apparent, compare the active story objective with your map filters and current progression. This is a troubleshooting checklist, not a claim that a particular filter is known to hide Irisalis. Preserve the exact displayed message so a later support request or guide update can address the specific stage.

Inside the encounter, prioritize the current story instructions over a general catch-rate calculation. The announcement describes defeating the Legendary and using the personally crafted pod. Do not substitute an ordinary Alpha formula simply because both sequences involve a battle before capture.

Prepare without inventing a fastest route

The announcement calls this a one-time encounter. It does not provide a failure-recovery rule or tell us that disconnecting permanently loses the creature. Avoid both assumptions. Read any current confirmation or encounter instructions before proceeding, and document an error message if the sequence fails to progress.

For preparation, review your team’s actual skills and the resources the client says are usable in the encounter. There is no source-backed mandatory team in this guide. A checklist that names unsupported required creatures would make preparation more expensive without establishing that those choices are necessary.

Track Irisalis separately from general Prismana progress in your collection notes. The Prismana guide concerns a different trigger and guarantee mechanism. Combining the two into a single “rare creature pity” counter would obscure which objective your next action actually advances.
