Use role badges to find candidates, then read the skill conditions to choose between them. Susuta’s BREAK trait requires a specific companion condition, while Glacy’s healing and Chirpi’s support text answer different team problems.
In this guide
Start with the problem your current group cannot solve
If fights take too long, investigate whether attacks connect and whether their conditions are active before replacing every companion. If survival is the issue, look at healing, defensive tools and positioning. If enemies are difficult to manage, inspect control effects. Each diagnosis creates a different shortlist.
The official roles are DPS, BREAK, Support, Heal and REGEN. Treat them as navigation labels. A skill can supply more than one benefit, and an entry’s primary role does not summarize every action it can perform. The catalog filters help you find a category; the comparison tool puts two selected forms side by side.

Three candidates, three different conditions
The examples below show why a badge-only team plan can mislead. Read the trigger, target and duration together. A bonus that does not activate in your chosen group is not a reliable reason to select the creature.
| Candidate | Relevant documented behavior | Question before selection |
|---|---|---|
| Susuta · BREAK | Appeal depends on an opposite-sex Susuta-family companion | Does my actual group satisfy that condition? |
| Glacy · Heal | Healing Water scales from the caster’s maximum HP | Do I need recovery, and am I reading the scaling correctly? |
| Chirpi · Support | Leaf Tornado pulls enemies toward its center | Would grouping targets help the actions I plan to use? |

Distinguish a plausible combination from a tested one
Combining a grouping effect with an area attack is a reasonable idea to investigate. It becomes a recommendation only after checking the timing, target behavior and actual result in the relevant mode. Label the first version as a hypothesis and use it to design a short test.
Keep the target and your other choices steady, try the combination, then compare with a simpler sequence. If the setup takes longer than the benefit lasts, it may be less useful than the descriptions suggested. This is why a measured recommendation needs more than a list of strong-sounding effects.
Power can come with a play-style cost
Malevsera is a useful contrast to a generic ‘higher damage is better’ rule: its trait rewards lost HP, and its Demonic State changes the resource demands of skills. A player who wants a forgiving routine may evaluate that very differently from someone who enjoys managing risk.
Write one sentence for each candidate: ‘I am choosing this because it solves __, provided __.’ If you cannot fill in both blanks, read the record again. The result is a transparent shortlist rather than an unexplained S-tier badge.

Common questions
What is the best team?
There is no tested universal team ranking in this guide. A useful answer must specify the mode, target, forms, skill setup and test conditions. Start with the problem you need to solve and use the examples to build a shortlist.
