Emberpup: same species, different search

The three Emberpup entries illustrate why a species card cannot answer every collection question. A Basic-form sighting can complete a species goal while leaving a Highland-form goal unfinished. The table keeps the distinctions visible rather than merging every place and element into one combined record.

How to inspect a form in Atlas

Open Emberpup, choose Highland Form, and check three things: the selected form name, the extra Rock badge and the habitat section. The link now carries the form identifier, so copying it preserves what you are examining. Compare the source link too: each official form has its own entry.

When comparing values, use the same field on both records. The three imported Emberpup forms share the displayed HP and ATK figures; that does not erase their element and habitat differences. A useful form comparison reports both what changes and what stays the same.

Scorchhowl: a larger form checklist

The official form menu includes Basic, Highland, Thunderstorm, Prismana, Mountain Woods and Umbrabow. Thunderstorm is Fire/Electric, making it a clear example of a form that changes the elemental description. The menu confirms those named records; it does not by itself provide the acquisition method for each one.

A useful collection sheet has one line per form, with separate columns for ‘seen’, ‘obtained’ and ‘source checked’. If a form has no habitat in the entry, leave the location unresolved. Do not label it event-exclusive or assign it a spawn rate just because the name sounds special.

Which form should you pursue?

For a collector, the missing form may be the goal. For combat, compare the actual skills and element interaction you need. For exploration, compare the documented mobility effect. These are different objectives, so there is no single form ranking that answers all three.

Write the reason for your target beside its name. That makes a later choice easier: if you were looking for a new element combination, a cosmetic difference alone will not satisfy the goal; if you were completing a visual collection, identical combat values do not make the form redundant.
