Confirmed example: Emberpup’s branching family

The official evolution tree explicitly links Emberpup to Flameruff, then branches to Scorchhowl and Inferlupa. This is a source-documented relationship, not a guess from nearby numbers. Open Emberpup’s record to inspect the tree and follow each linked creature.

The branch makes the next question concrete: compare Scorchhowl and Inferlupa, including their selected forms, elements and skills. The imported tree’s condition lists are empty, so it does not establish a required level or branch-selection item. Relationship and acquisition condition remain separate evidence fields.

What a stage comparison can actually show

A useful comparison keeps form and source context constant. The Basic Form records below have increasing HP and ATK values across the three entries. That establishes a difference in displayed attributes; it does not measure time-to-defeat, level scaling or the resources needed to reach the later record.

Look for changes in the way you play

Statistics are only part of a growth comparison. Scorchhowl’s record includes Burn Breaker, whose charged behavior interacts with remaining EP, and Falling Star, an area attack. If you are deciding what to learn next, compare the skill conditions and resource behavior rather than stopping at the larger ATK number.

Build a before-and-after checklist: which action changes, which condition becomes important, and whether your usual sequence still works. A more demanding skill can offer new options without being automatically easier to use. The EP guide gives a worked comparison method.

Keep alternate forms out of the stage ladder

Scorchhowl’s Thunderstorm Form has Fire and Electric labels. That is a form-specific identity, not another numbered growth stage. A collector may care about that difference even when some displayed statistics remain the same.

Use one list for species or growth targets and another for forms. Combining them into a single ‘evolved’ checkbox makes it hard to tell what you have actually completed. The alternate-form guide shows the distinction with Emberpup’s habitats and Scorchhowl’s elemental variants.

Before spending an evolution resource

Check the exact target shown by the current game, the required action or item, and whether any choice is irreversible. Record the condition as written rather than borrowing a familiar level from another creature-collecting game. This is a decision checklist, not a claim that every evolution consumes an item or offers a branch.

If a guide names a required level, it should point to the current creature-specific instruction or a reproducible observation. Atlas does not derive requirements from adjacent Index numbers. Use the official record and the current client when the requirement is not available in the article.
